Three Tips for Managing Business Social Profiles in College
Hey there,
Running a personal business is difficult at any time, but it can be particularly challenging while in college. Finding the necessary time to keeping up with business tasks, particularly social media, can feel overwhelming. This is why I am offering my top three tips for managing my business social media accounts successfully while in school.
Batch make material.
I absolutely love the creativity it takes to make Instagram reels or Tiktok videos, but finding the time and energy to create this kind of content can be difficult during the school year. When inspiration hits utilize that energy to batch make as much material as you can think of. Then spread out that content over the next several weeks rather than posting it all at once.
Stick to a posting plan.
The more consistent you are with your content the more the algorithm will reward you. I have found that posting twice a week is doable, but much more becomes overwhelming. The nice part is the Instagram algorithm no longer prioritizes daily content. Figure out what works best for you then stick to it. Prioritize quality over quantity and be consistent.
Save all of your hashtags in an easily accessible document.
This has saved me so much time and makes posting so much more enjoyable. Within the document save hashtags under five categories: brand hashtags, location hashtags, audience hashtags, niche or product hashtags, and post specific hashtags. Then when you are ready to post, copy the hashtags that are appropriate from each category and paste them into the post caption.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Until then, happy creating.
